good old steam gauge instrumentation! if only modern jetliners were still like this, personally i think glass cockpits are not safe in terms of what the pilot actually has control over, cuz if too much control is given to the computers, when something fails thats less control the pilots have to maintain control during the emergency!
hopefully by the time i start flying (in 2014 hopefully ) most of those cargo companies still use those steam gauge planes its nice that they still use them while all other airliners are going glass
yeah..like American Airlines still uses their MD80, Fedex still has a B727 fleet, some A300,and maybe DC10?by 2014 I'm afraid those old freighters can only be found in Latin America.
yeah, although looks a little complex, but nowadays pilots rely on computers too much...that make them lost some abilities and basic judgments, the whole flight almost done by FMC and autopilot.
oh definitely! all the stick and rudder knowledge is becoming more and more obsolete as those stupid computers keep being given all the control! personally i think the computerized instrumentation is more complex and disorientating!
oh no!!
